Monthly Activity Bins Subscription:
Each month, families may purchase bins of various art, sensory, and other play materials to encourage the development of fine motor skills and sensory exploration and creativity.

Open Gate at Home
Level I
This level of programming will be “truly virtual” and include weekly:
- Pre-recorded storytime or art activity that you can enjoy at your leisure.
- Small group Zoom/Google classroom activity to allow your child a virtual classroom experience with a small group of peers.
- Lesson plan packet with activities to support your child’s fine/large gross motor skills, sensory exploration, and pre-academic skills.
Parent Participation:
To allow for flexibility, the Parent Participation requirement of this program will be to create an online video or host a Zoom event to enhance the virtual program and keep virtual students connected to one another. Some examples may include:
- A “show & tell” or performance (dance, puppet show) video to share with other students in the program.
- Hosting a zoom activity, such as a dance party or art activity.
- Coordinating “pen pals” to send virtual students letters and art.
- Once per month Parent Education Via Zoom – this will be an opportunity to connect with other parents whose students are in a virtual program and to engage in discussions about your child’s development, ask questions, and get the support you need.
Tuition: $100/month
Level II
This level of programming will include both virtual activities and social opportunities for those families that feel comfortable with interacting with a few other families and coming into Open Gate for access to the playground, toys, and books.
The virtual activities will include weekly:
- Pre-recorded storytime or art activity that you can enjoy at your leisure.
- Small group Zoom/Google classroom activity, lesson plans to allow your child a virtual classroom experience with a small group of peers.
- Lesson plan packet with activities to support your child’s fine/large gross motor skills, sensory exploration, and pre-academic skills.
- Individual virtual check-in with teacher (frequency will depend on number of students enrolled in the program)
Social Interaction Opportunities/Access to Open Gate
- Friday Afternoon playdates on the Open Gate playground (2-3 kids/group, self chosen cohorts): 1 hour, parent supervised play on the playground (limited access to building for bathroom use only: alert teacher on site if bathroom needs arise)
- Access to Open Gate playground for single family use (30 min, parent supervision required)
- Gator Books and Toys lending library – take home your child’s favorite Open Gate toy and/or new books for storytime.
Parent Participation:

- Creating an online video or hosting a Zoom event to enhance the virtual program and keep virtual students connected to one another. Some examples may include:
- Hosting a zoom activity, such as a dance party or art activity.
- Coordinating “pen pals” to send virtual students letters and art.
- Assisting with Gator Books and Toys lending library: check-in/check-out items during Friday afternoon playdate, sanitize items checked-in.
- Assist with putting together monthly activity bins.
- Once per month Parent Education Via Zoom – this will be an opportunity to connect with other parents whose students are in a virtual program and to engage in discussions about your child’s development, ask questions, and get the support you need.
